Short Course Championship Meets

Dual Meets

These are head to head competitions with one other team. The coaching staff will arrange the meets and ask the swimmers to sign up in advance. Sign up sheets will be posted on the bulletin board. Dual meets are generally set up for each swimmer to compete in two individual events and a relay. The coaches will assign the swimmer to their events. No entry fee is required.

Long Course Season Meets

Empire State Game Central Region Trials – Usually held in the middle of June, all swimmers who feel they have a chance of making the Central Region Team should try-out. This meet is free of charge and can be a great experience. Those swimmers who do not qualify are encouraged to try-out for the Central Region Scholastic Water Polo team.

Union Aquatic Sertoma Invitational – This weekend combines swimming with fun. Lots of families come down and camp out at one of the many campgrounds in the area. The meet is run well, the competition is great, and it’s the easily the most enjoyable meet of the year, for the swimmer and the family.

Empire State Games – Those who qualify for the Central Region enjoy some of the best competition the state has to offer. The Empire State Games are an Olympic-type event which is held annually. The 2000 Empire State Games will be held down in Binghamton. For those that qualify, this is the biggest meet of the summer.

Long Course Junior Olympics – Those that have "Silver" standard times qualify for this meet. It’s the age group swimming championship of the summer.

City-County Swim Meet – This is a meet put on by the Syracuse City Parks and Recreation Department. It’s free of charge, loads of fun, and anyone can swim…parents, friends, even coaches!
